borrow from the rot
Contamination increases the chance of empowered Rotborn and contaminated equipment. Contaminated equipment improves weapon damage or positive item bonuses, but raises Contamination further. More reward means more dangerous encounters.
the body is not the end
Contaminated Rotborn have more health, speed and attack damage. They drop extra scrap, warn before bursting, then leave a harmful five-second pool. The pool also hurts other enemies. Bosses and eggs cannot become contaminated.
build a strategy
Use the Stats section for exact effects and caps. Weapons explain whether Piercing, Bounces and chain effects work. Knockback can create room and slam enemies into cover; it does not cancel every committed charge. Frozen and staggered Rotborn cannot dodge landed hits. Build around interactions, not just the largest number.
